Description
LiF crystals have been irradiated at low temperature with electrons of energies less than 10 keV to detect the displacement threshold of the lithium ion by measuring the optical absorption in the I band. It has been found that the threshold energy is equal to or smaller than 1.64 eV if there is one at all.
