Description
In this work, a new method of fast fission factor calculation is performed. This is done by creating a manipulated MCNP cross section library using NJOY reprocessing nuclear data file code. MCNP is facilitated by the specific library to be able to calculate fast fission factor. An ordinary MTR research reactor core configuration is the case study of the problem. Calculations are applied for the case study and the results are compared with a rough estimation of the parameter by a given formula.
