Spin values of the low lying nuclear levels of 201Hg

Description
Gamma-gamma directional correlations have been investigated for the cascades of 135-30 keV and 135-32 keV in 201Hg from the decay of 201Tl. A combination of NaI(Tl) and Si(Li) detectors was used for the experiments. Spin values of I = 1/2, 3/2 and 1/2 have been assigned to 1.58, 32.19 and 167.49 keV energy levels. In addition, the relative intensities of the γ rays have been measured with a Ge(Li) detector system. The results are 2.2 +- 0.2, 2.2 +- 0.2, 26.5 +- 1.3, 1.6 +- 0.1 and 100 for the γ rays of 30.60, 32.19, 135.34, 165.88 and 167.43 keV energies, respectively. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Gamma-Gamma-Winkelkorrelationen wurden fuer die Kaskaden von 135-30 keV und von 135-32 keV in 201Hg aus dem Zerfall von 201Tl untersucht. Fuer die Experimente wurde eine Kombination von NaI(Tl)- und Si(Li)-Detektoren verwendet. Spinwerte von I = 1/2, 3/2 und 1/2 wurden den Energieniveaus von 1,58, 32,19 und 167,49 keV zugeordnet. Ferner wurden die relativen Intensitaeten der Gammastrahlen mit einem Ge(Li)-Detektorsystem gemessen. Die Ergebnisse sind 2,2 +- 0,2, 2,2 +- 0,2, 26,5 +- 1,3, 1,6 +- 0,1 und 100 fuer die γ-Strahlen von 30,60, 32,19, 135,34, 165,88 und 167,43 keV. (orig./AK)Additional details
