The short range effective interaction and the spectra of oxygen isotopes in (s-d) space

  • 1. Physics Dept., Anhui Univ., Hofei, Anhui

Description

Owing to the success of Delta interaction, which the authors called the body interaction, in the low-lying spectra calculation for d/sub 5/2/-d/sub 5/2/ space, they are able to express the new extremely short range interaction as the Double Delta Interaction (DDI), which is given. The authors use the Double Delta Interaction formula and the Modified Surface Delta Interaction formula to calculate the low-lying spectra of oxygen isotopes /sup 17/O through /sup 22/O. The matrix elements of energy are represented in terms of the strength parameters of the DDI (or MSDI) and the single particle energies which can be determined by least-squares fit given. Results are given
