Gamma ray dose rate measurements at a boiling water reactor

Description
Photons and electron dose equivalent rates were measured at two locations around a boiling water reactor by using a tissue-equivalent scintillator. The first location was in the vicinity of the low pressure turbine where 16N gamma rays dominate the field and the second area was in the vicinity of the residual heat removal system where the highest energy photons were from 60Co. The dose rates were also measured using portable survey instruments and personal dosemeters: the results for these instruments are compared. (Author)
