Description

Highlights: • A candidate DM image quality evaluation instrument was validated using ROC analysis. • The instrument showed the potential to correlate with clinical performance. • This instrument can be used in testing procedures to assess DM image quality. • These testing procedures may be performed by professionals from other groups. To validate a candidate instrument, to be used by different professionals to assess image quality in digital mammography (DM), against detection performance results.
