HEART VESSELS. Acute or chronic pulmonary embolism: Dual-layer dual-energy computed tomography

Description
Distinguishing acute pulmonary embolism from chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) using the morphological image data obtained using computed tomography of the pulmonary arteries (CTPA) is difficult. A team of researchers from the University of Cologne is now investigating whether this can be achieved better using dual-layer dual-energy CT (dlDECT).
