LEED Kikuchi pattern: phonon and plasmon contributions

Description
Detailed properties of LEED Kikuchi patterns for MgO and Al are studied experimentally and theoretically. The Kikuchi line disappearance, the intensity change of various Kikuchi bands, the temperature dependence of Kikuchi band intensity etc., are studied experimentally with an energy analyser, and the results are interpreted theoretically by phonon and plasmon excitations.
