On the dispersion of rotational frequency in deformed nuclei
Description
The different mechanisms which are expected to produce a dispersion of the rotational frequency in deformed nuclei are analyzed within the finite-temperature Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (FTHFB) plus cranking approximation. The role of shape fluctuations is investigated by taking into account statistical fluctuations. Numerical applications are presented for the nucleus 160Er. (orig.)
