Heat exchanger, specially designed for high temperature reactor applications

  • 1. Rickenbach-Attikon (Switzerland)

Description

The heat exchanger, designed to cool gases from a high temperature reactor, contains a tube bundle in a pressure vessel. It consists of helically wound tubes in coaxial cylindrical planes. The tube bundle is held in a carrying system, comprising two groups of carrying plates, each of which consists of at least three secondary plates which are distributed over the volume of the tube bundle. This method is especially advantageous for tube bundles of long length
