'Minimal boosting' of SU(6) scheme
Description
A new formulation for relativistic generalization of the SU(6) scheme is presented, and new unified equations for spin 1/2 and 3/2 baryons and for spin 0 and 1 mesons are also derived. A characteristic feature of our scheme is that relativistic covariance is guaranteed only for hadrons as a whole, but not for ''constituent quarks'', contrasting with the case of U tilde(12) scheme where it is guaranteed for each ''constituent'', too. Reflecting this, our wave functions have a minimal number of components, and our scheme may be called the ''minimally boosted SU(6)'' scheme. Formulas for bilinear convariants, which may be useful for actual applications, are given. As a result of application of ''our relativistic quark model'' to e.m. interactions, we get interesting form factors for nucleons and pions with desirable asymptotic behavior, proportional to(q2)-2 and (q2)-1, respectively.
