Radiation protection standards in the United Kingdom and overseas
Description
In May 1986, the BBC television programme, 'Panorama', set out to demonstrate that the dose limits incorporated in the recent Ionising Radiations Regulations for workers and for the members of the public are based on obsolete information, are too high, and are higher than those in other countries. In a brief article, the NRPB draws attention to the more important errors and misjudgements in the programme and summaries the advice that it has given to Government on the question of radiation protection standards.
