Description

In extraction of uranium (VI) from HCl solutions by sulphoxides from dipentyl to didecyl, the extracted species appear to be of the type UO2Cl2.3R2SO and/or UO2Cl2.HCl.3R2SO. No regularity in the extraction efficiency is observed in going from dipentyl to dioctyl sulphoxide, but thereafter the extraction changes in the order dioctyl > dinonyl > didecyl. (author)
