Description

It is presented to estimate neutron yield from p7Li, p9Be and p10B fusion reaction plasma, which has not been estimated with respect to the neutron generation. Neutron yield value from the p7Li plasma at Ti = 200 keV and Te = 0.12 keV is 2.94 x 10-2, which is mainly contributed from 7Li (p, n) 7Be and 7Li - 7Li multi-channel reaction. The same from the p10B plasma at Te = 350 keV and Ti = 0.04 keV is 2.74 x 10-4 mainly from 10B (d, n) 11C reaction by deuterium as an impurity of the fusion fuel of proton. In the case of the p9Be plasma at Ti = 95 keV, yield values are 4.11 x 10-6 and 6.91 x 10-4 at the other plasma conditions of Te = 0.05 keV and Te = 95 keV, respectively, and are comparatively similar to the ones from the p11B plasma at Ti = 200 keV. It can be physically understood, by the both values of the reaction cross section and the lower energy of generated particles of 4He and deuterium from the p9Be main reaction, that the neutron yields of p9Be reaction become almost equivalent to the ones from the p11B reaction.
