Use of asphalt emulsion selants to contain radon and radium in uranium tailings
Description
A 6.4-mm thick Armak E-63 cationic asphalt emulsion-Vitro subsoil seal was capable of preventing permeation of RaCl2 in 0.5 N HCl solution, radon, and nitrogen under 3.6 kg/cm2 (50 psi) overpressure for a 17-day period
