Review of the MSW solution to the solar neutrino problem

Description

The present data on solar neutrinos can be explained by assuming oscillations of ve into vμ or vτ or both as the neutrino emerges from the solar interior to the surface. The required neutrino masses and mixings are qualitatively consistent with expectations from grand unified theories like SO(10). Implications for future solar neutrino and other experiments will be discussed
