- 1. Chugoku Electric Power Co. Inc., Hiroshima (Japan)
Description
The Shimane Nuclear Power Station of Chugoku Electric Power Company went into commercial operation on March 29, 1974 as the first Japanese-made commercial nuclear power plant. After scheduled operation, the plant was shut down on February 16, 1975 for the first annual maintenance and inspection outage.
