Total cross sections of α-particle interaction with magnesium and aluminium nuclei

Description

Total cross sections of reactions with magnesium and aluminium nuclei are measured for 100 MeV α-particles. Linear dependence of reaction cross sections on geometric sizes of colliding system is observed. Experimental data on light nuclei confirm the conclusion obtained earlier when analysing isotope-isotope effect about the dependence of mass distribution diffusivity on the excess of neutrons in a nucleus
