A analysis of 16O+α+α cluster model of 24Mg from elastic electron scattering

Description
A simple cluster model of 16O+α+α structure for a 24Mg nucleus has been analyzed by fitting the experimental data of elastic electron scattering in the PWBA and DWBA approaches. The information on the relative motion of the α+α system and (α+α)+16O system are obtained. The calculated results show a prolate deformed configuration of the type α+16O+α for the 24Mg ground state.
