Storage rack for reactor fuel elements

Description

In a cage with an upper and a lower grid plate profiled sheets from borated material are piled up in a cross shape. By the sheets common interspaces and ducts for the fuel assemblies are formed. At their free ends the sheets are connected in a detachable manner, maintaining a certain clearance, by means of longitudinal tubes. In the lower grid plate center pins are used to support the lowest row of sheets, the top row of sheets being centered at the upper grid plate. (DG)

Abstract (German)

In einem Kaefig mit oberer und unterer Gitterplatte sind Profilbleche aus borhaltigem Material kreuzfoermig uebereinander angeordnet. Die Bleche bilden gemeinsam Zwischenraeume und Schaechte fuer die BE. An ihren freien Enden sind die Bleche mit sich in Laengsrichtung erstreckenden Rohren unter Beibehaltung eines Bewegungsspielraumes loesbar verbunden. An der unteren Gitterplatte stuetzen Zentrierstifte die unterste Reihe der Bleche, waehrend die oberste Reihe der Bleche an der oberen Gitterplatte zentriert ist. (DG)
