Neutron differential and double differential cross sections from deuteron

  • 1. Inst. of Atomic Energy, Beijing (China)

Description

15.2 MeV and 13.6 MeV neutron differential and double differential cross sections from deuteron have been measured using double scintillator fast neutron T-O-F spectrometer. It consists of a scintillation scatterer, a neutron detector, shield collimator system and electronics. The scintillation scatterer detector consists of NE-232 or NE-230 deuterated liquid scintillator coupled to a GDB-49 photomultiplier tube. The neutron detector was made up of an ST-451 liquid scintillator mounted on an XP-2041 photomultiplier tube. The neutron flight path is about 2.5 m. The energy resolution is about 6.5% for primary neutrons. Our data have been compared with previous experimental data and results calculated by Fadeev integral equation. (orig.)
