Harmonised framework for the Sraddet energy aspect - Methodology

Description

In order to establish an energy scenario at a territorial level, a modelling of the regional energy system is required which relates primary resources which are mobilised on the territory and out of it with the final demand of the different consuming sectors. The objective of this study is to represent energy transformations by using a decomposition into 8 vectors. After a recall of some definitions used in energy statistics at the national level, and of national and European objectives regarding energy (reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, of final energy consumption, of fossil primary energy consumption, of the nuclear share in electric power production, increase of the share of renewable energies in final raw energy consumption, rate of energy independence), this report presents regional approaches (geographical scope, technical scope, detail level, energy vectors, network balance, general presentation with a Stankey diagram). It discusses methodological propositions: selection of an appropriate complexity level, modelling with a vector-based representation of the energy system, regional import/export assessments, assessment of local parameters, selection of appropriate units, definition of adapted indicators.
