Description
Anodic characteristics of zinc-cadmium solid specimens of different content in 7 n. KOH solutions are investigated. It is shown that anodic oxidation of zinc-cadmium alloys takes place in potential regions, corresponding to zinc and cadmium oxidation. Reactivity of zinc base anodes decreases with the growth of cadmium content in them, whereas the dependence of cadmium process capacity on the alloy composition is of extremal character. Zinc oxidation is mainly the finite transformation in cadmium process. Introduction of silicate addition into solution produces depassivating effect both upon zinc and cadmium anodic processes
