Estimation of calculation error of the reference dose in Ralstron-therapy of carcinoma of the uterine cervix based on in vivo dosimetry
- 1. Osaka Prefectural Center for Adult Diseases (Japan)
Description
Semi-conductor dosimetry (ICD-5) of the rectum and bladder was carried out in high dose rate intracavitary afterloading therapy for carcinoma of the uterine cervix in order to make clear the size and type of errors in calculated dose of the reference points. Calculated doses per measured doses of the bladder and rectum were 99.5 +- 11.2% (Mean +- SD) and 101.5 +- 9.4% (Mean +- SD), respectively. Magnification factor, correction and misreading of the reference points influenced the errors in calculated dose. Calculation error of the point. A dose was within 10% in 70% of all cases. (author)
