In the 1993 follow-up memorandum 'Managing Radiation Risks' of the Dutch government, emission limits are formulated that are based on the risk for an individual member of the population. Based on the applied amount of radioactive materials in 1993 the consequences of the policy, as formulated in the main memorandum and its follow-up, are determined for the Nuclear Medical department of the Academic Hospital Maastricht in Maastricht, Netherlands. 3 tabs., 3 figs., 10 refs
