Modeling of Cs 137 migration in broad-leaved forests of Belarus

Description

Mathematical model of Cs-137 migration in forest ecosystem is presented, which is based on convection-diffusion approximation and transfer between different components of biogeocenoses which also takes into account seasonal phenomena. Given model applicability is shown by the example of radioactive contamination of broad-leafed forests of Belarus grown on automorphic soils. Satisfactory agreement is found between results obtained by modeling and available experimental data. (authors)
