A method for isotope separation
Description
For separating uranium isotopes in the UF6 compound, a laser radiation of 16 μm is used which stimulates the Q-branch of the v3-band of the sup(235)UF6. The spectrum width of the laser radiation corresponds at most to the isotope shift. The radiation intensity is so strong that its absorption reaches the saturation region. The time of radiation and the time for the physical and chemical separation are inferior to the rotational relaxation time. (DG)

(DG)Files
