Thermodynamic modelling and experimental study of the decomposition process of rare earth phosphates by sintering with soda in the presence of quartz, hematite and fluorite

Description
High-temperature processes occuring in YPO4-LaPO4-Fe2O3-SiO2-CaF2-Na2CO3 mixture under variable ratios between the components are studied using thermodynamic modelling and a complex of chemical, x ray spectral and x ray phase analyses. Thermochemical characteristics of 16 yttrium and lanthanum compounds formed in Y-La-Si-O-Ca-F-Na system, necessary for calculations, are evaluated using semiempirical methods. Agreement of results of theoretic modelling with experimental data is shown
