Analyzing powers in inclusive Ag(p,3He) and Ag(p,4He) reactions at intermediate energies

Description
Asymmetries associated with 3He and 4He single particle inclusive spectra from reactions of polarized protons with Ag targets have been measured for helium isotopes produced at 600, 900, and 1350 with E/sub p/ = 518 MeV and at 600 with E/sub p/ = 237 and 445 MeV over a helium energy range from 7 to 63 MeV. The analyzing powers A/sub y/(E,E/sub He/,theta/sub He/) derived from these are near zero throughout the measured ranges. This is a constant on direct interaction models of fragment production
