Description

This article presents the implementation of a measurement system using a Geiger-Mueller detector (GM) in order to adapt it into a 99mTc generator prototype. The response signal of the measurement system designed in terms of count rate is linearly proportional to the variation of the activity measured between 280 and 170 mCi of 99mTc with a relative error of ± 2,8 %. However, further tests are needed to evaluate the correlation for an activity level lower than 20 mCi in order to obtain an adequate range of use. (authors).
