Adsorption of uranium by anion-exchange resins from solutions with a complex salt composition

Description

The adsorption of uranium from carbonate-containing mineralized solutions of variable composition by anion-exchange resins AM-7, AMP-p, and AM-10Khp in the Cl-form was studied. According to the results of chemical analysis, the data of adsorption, infrared spectroscopy, and x-ray spectral microanalysis, conclusions were drawn on the predominant adsorption of uranium in the form of a uranyl carbonate complex; moreover, there is an initial exchange of chloride ions for sulfate ions and then a replacement of sulfate ions by uranium
