Description
The influence of Li and B-doping on the superconducting properties has been investigated in Bi-based 2223 and 2212 ceramic samples. It was found that high-Tc 2223 samples doped with various amounts of Li and B transform to low-Tc 2212 phase. In the Li-doped 2223 samples nonmonotonous change in critical temperature occurs, while Tc gradually decreases with increasing of B-content. Li and B-doping enhances the critical temperature of furnace-cooled Pb-substituted (Bi,Pb)-2212 superconductor. Introduction of Li2CO3 in the starting composition leads to the increase of Tc in both furnace-cooled and quenched Pb-free 2212 samples. (author)
