Super-allowed Fermi beta-decay
Description
Recent measurements demonstrate for the first time a clear trend of ft with Z for the super-allowed Fermi transitions. The value gsub(βV)sup(R) = (1.41222 +- 0.00046) x 10-49 erg cm3 is recommended for the vector coupling constant effective for nucleon β-decay (including the 'inner' radiative correction); consequences are discussed.
