Evidence for a 17-KeV neutrino in 3H and 35S β spectra

Description

New data obtained from 3H in a silicon detector is presented confirming the distortion 17 keV below the end-point seen in an earlier experiment. In addition, a critical analysis of five 35S β spectra is given. It is shown that two 35S spectra have distorted Kurie plots which are in agreement with the Kurie plot of tritium, strengthening the earlier suggestion that the distortion seen in the β spectrum of tritium is due to the emission of a 17 keV neutrino. 13 refs
