Processing apparatus for radioactive gaseous waste
Description
In a conventional radioactive gaseous waste processing apparatus, there are a second pipeway for connecting a gaseous waste vacuum pump and a discharging cylinder, and a third pipeway for connecting a condensator vacuum pump and a discharging cylinder. The surface doses due to the exit pipeway of the gas discharging vacuum pump, that is, the second pipeway is greatest among the two pipeways, which undesirably increases the operator's radiation doses. In view of the above, in the present invention, the pipeway at the inlet of the gas discharging vacuum pump and the pieway at the exit of the condensator vacuum pump are joined. That is, gaseous wastes processed in an activated carbon gaseous waste processing system are discharged by the gas discharging vacuum pump through the exit pipeway, etc. from the dischaging cylinder into atmosphere. It is thus possible to reduce the surface radiation dose of the exit pipeway on the side of the gas discharging vacuum pump, that is, the second pipeway, thereby enabling to make the space for the outdoor pipeway trench compact.
