Photometric determination of thorium in the presence of rare earths and uranium

Description
The reaction between thorium (4) and 2,3,3-trihydroxy-4'-sulphoazobenzene has been studied. Optimal reaction conditions, complex composition and its stability constant have been estimated. A procedure has been developed or determining thorium with the reagent at pH2 in the presence of 7500 and 4000 times its amounts of rare earths and uranium, respectively. The relative standard deviations is 0.005-0.04
