Application of hydrated tin dioxide for purification of nitrine coolant from iron compounds
- 1. AN Belorusskoj SSR, Minsk (Byelorussian SSR). Inst. Yadernoj Ehnergetiki
Description
The study was undertaken to determine the possibility of applying hydrated tin dioxide (HTD) as a sorbent for purification of a nitrogen dioxide-based coolant from stainless steel corrosion products - iron compounds. The HTD testing in nitrine medium showed its high chemical stability. The distribution ratio obtained of (2-5)x10 cm3/g pointed to the high enough iron selectivity of HTD in dissociating coolant. On the basis of the results obtained hydrated tin dioxide can be used for cleaning of dissociating coolant from iron compounds
