Highlights: • Aberrant small bowel MRI motility has been associated with Crohn's disease symptoms. • Radiologist grading of motility compared to new computer-based motility metrics. • Best models were automated. • Symptoms best associated with spatial variation for a single variable model. • Temporal variation and area of motile bowel best multi-variate model. -- Abstract: To investigate whether subjective radiologist grading of motility on magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) is as effective as software quantification, and to determine the combination of motility metrics with the strongest association with symptom severity.
