Description
Cross sections for single-electron charge exchange of carbon, nitrogen and oxygen ions in their collisions with completely stripped ions of the same elements are calculated. The rates of excited ion production by charge exchange have been shown to exceed the excitation rates of the same ions by electron impact be several orders
