Investigation into interactions of nickel- and molybdenum-rhenium alloys with nitrogen-containing environment

Description

Interaction of nickel-molybdenum-rhenium and molybdenum-rhenium alloys with nitrogen-containing medium (at decomposition of ammonia) within wide temperature up to 1000 C is studied. Composition and structure of corrosion interaction products are studied using metallography, measurements of microhardness, X-ray spectral microanalysis and Auger-electron spectroscopy. Correlation to estimate the depth of corrosion damage under the given conditions is suggested and expression for temperature dependence of nitrogen diffusion coefficient is obtained
