  • 1. Ricardo Hitec Ltd. (United Kingdom)

Description

In 1989 evidence of damage to a calandria tube was discovered by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPC) at their twin Candu reactor station at Kalpakkam, near Madras. Inspections revealed considerable damage to the inlet manifold baffle plates. After international tender, NPC let a service contract for the design, development and operation of equipment to effect repairs to the manifold. The paper describes this equipment and the actual reactor work undertaken in 1991 and 1992. (author)
