High-temperature thermodynamic characteristics of transition metal mononitrides in the homogeneity regions

Description
A drop calorimetry method has been used to study enthalpy and heat capacity of TiN0.62, TiN0.73, TiN0.84, TiN0.96, ZrN0.72, ZrN0.86, ZrN0.90, ZrN0.96, HfN0.95, HfN1.09 in the temperature range of 1200-2300 K and VN0.79, VN0.86, VN0.97 at 400-1400 K. The temperature-concentration relationship obtained permit determining the thermodynamic properties of a mononitride of any composition from the homogeneity region. The properties and partial molar enthalpies of nitrogen and metal under study are analyzed. (author)
