Description

High power pulsed electron beams (peak power ∼ GW and pulse duration ∼ 100ns) are used for the generation of Flash X-Rays (FXR) and High Power Microwaves (HPM). The flash X-ray sources are used to radiograph the events that last for short time (microsecond to nanosecond). High power microwave sources (peak power >100 MW) are useful for a variety of defence applications, high gradient accelerators, plasma heating and power beaming
