Description

The effects of gamma radiation on the electrical conduction and the dielectric strength of isotactic polypropylene addittivated with a well known amount of Hals are investigated. The experimental data carried out on films of pure PP or addittivated with a percentage of 0.25 and 1% of Tinuvin 770, unirradiated and irradiated under air up to 6.3 Mrad, are reported. These results are discussed and an attempt to justify the experimental evidence is made. (author)
