Mechanism of the np→ppπ+π-π-π0 reaction at Psub(n)=(5.10+-0.17) GeV/c

Description

The mechanism of the np→ppπ+π-π-π0 reaction at Psub(n)=(5.10+-0.17) GeV/c is investigated. A matrix element is presented by which the above reaction is mainly described. The reaction goes through the Λ++ isobar formation (approximately 50%) and the ω0-meson formation (approximately 6%). The Δ++ isobar is produced in a significant number of events through a peripherical mechanism. Angular distributions of the produced particles do not contradict an assumption about redispersion of secondary nucleons with producing one π-meson. The production of the ω0-meson is likely due to the π-meson exchange in the np→ppω0π- reaction
