Description
Several key issues of a LaBr3(Ce) γ spectrometer system for the measurement of fission products were studied to satisfy the real-time monitoring requirement of primary coolant. The selection of radionuclides in the fission products, high energy efficiency calibration, coincidence summing correction, pulse pile-up and the stabilization of spectrometer were the key concerns. Some preliminary solutions were obtained by the method of experimental tests combined with Monte Carlo calculation. The ongoing solving key problems are important for improving the reliability with the IaBr3(Ce) γ spectrometer in the radionuclides analysis of primary coolant, the damage monitoring of fuel element and radionuclides monitoring in nuclear accident,et al.
