Study of vanadium (5) state in perchloric acid solutions by ion exchange method

Description
The cation forms of vanadium were studied by the ion exchange method. Perchloric acid, a solution of ammonium vanadate in perchloric acid, and KU-2 cationite with grain sizes of 0.3-0.5 mm were used. The general stability constants of hydroxoforms of VO(OH)2+ and VO(OH)2+ were calculated and found to be 7.3x10+H14 and 3.3x1029, respectively. It is shown that more stable forms of vanadium of solution are VO3+, VO2+, and (VO(OH)2+). The VO(OH)2+ form is less stable. It is assumed that in the complexes of vanadium (5), VO3+ or VO2+ will play the part of the central ion
