Boundary element method and micromagnetism coupling for magneto-resistive heads modeling

Description

A new method combining the BEM and the micromagnetism was developed for the computation of the magnetic behavior of magnetoresistive heads. The magnetostatic field inside the sensor issued from the medium by taking into account the shields having finite magnetic permeability is evaluated by a BEM method. The corresponding stable magnetic state of the sensor is obtained by micromagnetic simulation. Three-dimensional periodical or non-periodical heads could be thus numerically explored
