Radiative pion capture in 3He
Description
The rate for radiative pion capture from a 1s atomic orbital in the π-3He → γ3H analog transition has been calculated. The nuclear model result utilizing the impulse approximation agrees essentially with the particle model result. Combining this rate with our estimate of the π-3He → π03H rate, a Panofsky ratio P3 < 2.5 is obtained
