Radioactivity in waters around the British Isles
Creators
Description
The discharge of liquid radioactive waste into the waters around the British Isles for 1984 are surveyed. The sources are first identified with the location of the discharges. The levels of the discharges are quantified. The critical pathways by which radioactivity may reach members of the public and the critical groups of people likely to be most readily affected are discussed. The minor incidents in 1985 which resulted in release of radioactivity into the environment (not of necessity into the sea) are listed. (U.K.)
